• Earned six Varsity Letter and Pin Awards in Cross Country and Track
• Earned three Academic Letter and Pin Awards graduating Magna Cum Laude
• Two-time Team Captain and Team MVP Award (Cross Country)
• Member of two-time WLAA Conference Champion Team (Track) and AP All-Area Team (Track)
• Multi Invitational Champion, All-Division, All-Regional, and State Qualifier
• John Glenn High School Men’s Physical Education and Athletics Award Recipient
• Recruited to University of Kansas with U.S. Army ROTC Scholarship in 1990 
• Member of Army Cross Country Team (Freshman) and United States Military Academy Graduate in 1995
• 30-year U.S Army, multi-tour combat Veteran serving in Infantry and Special Forces organizations with an extensive operational deployment history. Matt is a three-time Bronze Star recipient.
