Tony Boles '86

During his time at John Glenn High School, Boles was a standout athlete, earning his varsity letter in football, baseball and basketball while demonstrating exceptional skill, leadership, and sportsmanship. Coached by the great Chuck Gordon, he was a key contributor on the football field at running back, where he helped lead the program to its first time playoff berth in 1985. Upon graduation Boles recorded:

17 touchdowns in one season
234 career points scored
495 career rushing attempts
215 season rushing attempts
260 yards rushing in one game
1526 rushing yards in one season
3139 overall careerrushing yards 

Boles also received numerous honors, including:

Detroit News All State - 1st Team - 1985
Detroit Free Press All State - 1st Team - 1985
High School All American - 1st Team 1985

Beyond individual accomplishments, Boles was widely respected for his humble work ethic, discipline, and commitment to his teammates.

Following graduation in 1986,  Boles continued his athletic career at the University of Michigan, under Bo Schembechler, where he shined and later drafted to the Dallas Cowboys in 1991. During his time at Michigan Boles was named:
